General description of villa Villa Dei Pini

The Villa Dei Pini is situated in a village called Pontone, not far from the centre of Ravello (about 2 Km). The villa is reached by a flight of 170 stairs but once there you are in heaven with a fabulous view of the coastline including Amalfi and Atrani. This villa is a typical example of a Mediterranean and Amalfitana house, with all the modern comforts. With the 170 steps in mind, the owners have arranged for a donkey service for luggage at the guests disposal; this service can be used between 3.00 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. The villa has a central area, as well as two other apartments that are available on request. There is a swimming pool of 4.5 meters by 9.50 meters which is for the exclusive use of the guests. The house is in perfect conditions, recently restored, and on the ground floor there is the larger terrace of the house and the swimming pool. From here you enter the house into a large living room with separate open kitchen which has a washing machine and dishwasher. There is a TV. There is also one toilet on this floor. On the first level there are three bedrooms (one triple with mountain views and two double with sea views), and a large bathroom with bath tub. One of the bedrooms has a en suite bath. There are also two more smaller apartments which can be rented separately within the same building: First, the apartment named La Rondine can accommodate 3 people and is situated on the ground floor with a living room with double fold out sofa bed, an equipped kitchen, and a balcony with sea view, bath. On the first floor there is a double bedroom and one single bedroom under a sloping ceiling, and a bathroom. Second, the apartment named Garden can accommodate 2 people and is composed of a living room (where is a sofa bed) kitchenette, a bathroom with shower, and a bedroom. This apartment has a private furnished garden with barbecue and sea view. Massages can be arranged upon request. Costs of La Rondine (sleeps 3) is Euro 800 per week. Costs of Garden (sleeps 2) is Euro  700 per week. The four extra beds are only available for children at to the age of 14 years old. Price Euro 75 per person. Accessories: iron and iron board.

How to arrive to Scala

Driving directions from Naples: From the airport of Naples or Naples town centre, take Highway A3 to Salerno - Reggio Calabria. After driving this highway for about 10 minutes there is the exit of Angri. At the exit, go left. Here you will see signs to Ravello (blue signs) and Costiera Amalfitana (brown signs). The street is straight and long  for about 3 kms; then you will see brown signs on your right to Ravello and Costiera Amalfitana; be careful as the signs are not so big. You will pass through a village named Corbara Chiunzi and then near the village of Tramonti. Keep following the road to Ravello. It will take about 40 minutes to get from the exit of the highway to Ravello. Once near the town, on your right you willl see a tunnel. Do not  use it, go straight to the centre; you will see on your right another tunnel which cannot be passed. Here you can meet our representative.

Extra info

A car can be useful as the apartment is not so close to the centre of the village, but there is a good public transportation system by the SITA bus company. The bus line is Amalfi-Ravello-Scala.
