General description of villa Villa Angelica

Villa Angelica lies in the upper part of the village of Praiano and is blessed with a wide view to the island of Li Galli, the last home of the famous Russian ballet dancer Rudolph Nureyev, across to the famous Faraglioni: world renowned feature of the island of Capri, and to the spectacular village of Positano which will enchant you in the evenings when the lights of the village sparkle and twinkle. The self catering villa in Praiano is surrounded by gardens and vines. The Villa Angelica has an elegant aspect, and the furnishings are of good quality. Along the typical little alley-ways of the village you can reach the food shops in ten minutes, and a pleasant walk of about thirty minutes down ancient stairways and silent lanes will take you to the attractive little pebble beaches. If you prefer not to walk, during spring and summer months there is a convenient local public transport service. The lovely beach of Praiano, named La Praia has a romantic and panoramic path carved out of the rock where you will find excellent restaurants and boats for hire. Positano is about 7 kms away, and can also be reached by public transport. Using the local public transport is most convenient, and avoids the problem of finding a parking space which is limited and costly along the Amalfi Coast. Praiano is a quiet village with all of the services you might need close by. It is in a central position from which to visit all of the Amalfi Coast. The prices indicated are based on four people occupancy and does not include bed and bath linen, final cleaning, and water and electricity consumption. The only extras are heating by consumption during cold periods, if used, and an additional charge for more than four people. Angelica is a typical self catering coastal villa situated over two floors, cheerfully and pleasantly presented. Its floors are made of fabulous hand-painted decorated Vietri style majolica which comes from along the coast. The ceilings are high and with characteristic barrel vaults. You enter the house at the living room which is furnished with chairs, sofa and a short living room table, and a TV. There are two single beds in the living room mezzanine which could accommodate two additional persons at Euro 100 per person per week. From the living room you find a full bathroom, and the kitchen which is well furnished with new and functional equipment including an oven, a refrigerator, and a 4-burner stove with hood fan. You access the spectacular terraces either from the kitchen or the living room, and these are equipped with chairs, dining table and two sun beds. You reach the lower floor through a set of stairs. This floor consists of another full bathroom with bath tub, two large double bedrooms, and a terrace. Outside the house there is a separate laundry with washing machine and an iron. There is also private parking for two cars. If you are a larger group, you could also consider few closeby apartments.

Position

The villa is in the higher part of Praiano. The restaurants, bars and beach are within walking distance, in about 20 minutes. Positano and Amalfi can be reached by bus or car in 15 minutes.

Parking and accessibility

The villa is accessible by a short flight of steps (circa 15 steps) and it is on two floors. Private parking is possible at the villa, for two cars.

How to arrive to Praiano

By car, from the airport of Naples use the A3 Salerno Reggio Calabria to Castellammare di Stabia. At the exit, don't turn right, but keep on going straight towards Sorrento. On the way to Sorrento, once in Meta turn left to Positano and Amalfi. Praiano is about 5 kms after Positano. Our usual meeting point will be the Bar Del Sole, located in the centre of the village.

A car can be useful to get here; a convenient reserved car park is by the house. the local bus stop is at 200 meters and the public transport of the SITA, the main bus line, is at 500 meters.
