General description of apartment Tramonto

Tramonto, meaning sunset in Italian, is an ideal setting from which to witness the regularly spectacular examples of the local sunsets. Imagine the sun going down while you sit on a lovely Italian terrace set in a lush garden laden with flowers and trees, with a cold glass of prosecco, and the mountains of the Amalfi Coast on the horizon. What could be more sweet! This spacious self catering apartment in Praiano, decorated in a simple and rustic style, sits within just such an idyllic setting. The living/dining room has a large table from where you can enjoy your meals while gazing out the French doors. And if you find that you just cannot take one more minute of the glorious coastal beauty, you can relax on the leather loveseat in front of the television. The master bedroom is bright and airy and is situated so as to let the rays of the setting sun stream in through the window. The second bedroom has two twin beds and from here you can access the side terrace. There is an attached modern bathroom with a shower, and Tramonto is great because it offers a second full bathroom as well. The kitchen is quite charming with its lemon yellow tiles and authentic Italian style. It is connected to the living/dining room through an arched doorway making for a nice open plan area. As they say, butta la pasta-throw some pasta in a pot and create your own little trattoria! Tramonto is situated close to everything you may need: from public transport to the nearby grocery stores. The main Church piazza is a hive of activity in summer and you will enjoy sitting and relaxing here with Positano and the ocean as your backdrop. Close to the apartment is a bus stop where SITA buses run quite regularly in the summer months. These buses take you to any of the neighbouring villages along the Coast. You also have the option of an internal shuttle bus service which takes you all around Praiano and in summer goes to Positano and back until late at night. From Positano you can board a ferry, hydrofoil or jet cat to take you to the islands of Capri, Ischia, or the ports of Sorrento, Amalfi and Salerno. Or you may prefer to hire a small boat to go to any of the magnificent beaches dotted along the rocky shoreline. The apartment Tramonto offers you everything you might need for your Italian holiday including atmosphere and serenity. Tramonto consists of two bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other with two single beds; and two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bathtub. There is a small but well equipped kitchen which also has a washing machine and is separate from the dining room. The lounge has a TV and a sofa bed which can accommodate a extra person for 80 euro per week. For large groups you could choose to rent also the close by apartments Idillio or Li Galli.

Position

The apartment is in the central part of Praiano. The restaurants, bars and beach are within walking distance, in about 5 minutes. Positano and Amalfi can be reached by bus or car in 15 minutes.

Parking and accessibility

The apartment is accessible by a short flight of steps (circa 15 steps). It is located on the ground floor
of a small building. Parking is possible for free on the communal street at 200 metres far.

How to arrive to Praiano

By car, from the airport of Naples use the A3 Salerno Reggio Calabria to Castellammare di Stabia. At the exit, don't turn right, but keep on going straight towards Sorrento. On the way to Sorrento, once in Meta turn left to Positano and Amalfi. Praiano is about 5 kms after Positano. Our usual meeting point will be the Bar Del Sole, located in the centre of the village.

Extra info

A car can be useful to get here but as the apartment is in the centre we discourage to use a rental car; parking is easy by the property at 200 meters far. It is better to reach the apartment by public transportation or by taxi.
