General description of apartment My Shazzy

Shazzy is a beautiful, secluded apartment located in Vettica di Praiano with the amazing view of Positano, Li Galli and Capri islands. The properly has been recently renovated and lies in a tranquil area of the village. This independent apartment offers exceptional convenience to all the offerings of the Amalfi Coast and the rest of Campania while remaining immersed in nature. It's only minutes to Positano and Amalfi, one hour away from Pompeii and Capri, Ercolano and Naples.
Praiano is conveniently situated near some sandy and rocky beaches to be found on both sides of the peninsula where vacationers may swim, snorkel, or even wind surf in warm Mediterranean waters or simply lie on the beach and enjoy the cool breezes and warm Italian sun.
The apartment is a bright, fresh, and very functional 2 bedroom Vacation Rental, with an extra large sunny southwest exposure terrace for private sun bathing and dinners. The terrace is equipped with table and chairs, two sun beds and a large sun umbrella; it overlooks the ocean and one of the most beautiful stretch of the Coast, commencing from Positano to Capri. All rooms face the shimmering Mediterranean sea.
This beautifully remodeled 2nd story 2bedroom 2 bath beach house with beautiful tiled floors in all bedrooms consists of an entrance with living room and dining area, with a well equipped kitchen with a five gas burner stove and electric oven, fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle. From the living room, though a corridor, you access the two bedrooms (a twin and a double): one of the bedroom has the en-suite bathroom with shower. The living room has a bathroom with shower and a comfortable sofa that can be converted in a double bed for two extra children, making the unit suitable for up to six guests. The extra bed charge is € 10/daily, per person. The furnishings consist of functional modern pieces of good quality, equipped with air-conditioning in both bedrooms and the living room.
You reach the house walking for circa 300 meters from the parking area or 400 from the closest local bus stop and circa 50 steps, passing through the typical terraced flowered gardens on all sides. Our guests also have the possibility of renting a nearby private parking space for one car, at € 10/daily.
The centre of Praiano can be also reached in alternative to car, using the traditional stone steps, walking them down for about 5 minutes (circa 200 steps), where you can find general food shops, several nice bars and restaurants; the beach of La Gavitella, also famous with the name of "One Fire Beach" is at 600 steps from the apartment and can be reached by foot in a 15 minute's walk. In alternative you can also get to the other beach called La Praia that is at a mere 1,5 km; this is a lovely cove with a pebble beach and typical restaurants where you can savor the local cuisine, along with bars and the most famous night-club of the Amalfi Coast "L' Africana", set inside a natural grotto. In the evening it's fun to watch the local fisherman returning home in their little rowing boats.

Location

The property is in the higher part of Praiano. The restaurants, bars and beach are within walking distance, in about 10 minutes. Positano and Amalfi can be reached by bus or car in 15 minutes.

Parking and accessibility

The apartment is accessible by a short flight of steps (circa 50 steps) walking for about 300 meters by foot. It is located on the first floor. Parking is possible for free on the communal streel at 400 metres or, depending on the availability, at a close-by private parking area at Euro 10 per day (needs to be booked in advance).

Arriving in Praiano

By car, from the airport of Naples use the A3 Salerno Reggio Calabria to Castellammare di Stabia. At the exit, don't turn right, but keep on going straight towards Sorrento. On the way to Sorrento, once in Meta turn left to Positano and Amalfi. Praiano is about 5 kms after Positano. Our usual meeting point will be the Bar Del Sole, located in the centre of the village.

E' stata una vacanza meravigliosa. Avevo già visitato la costiera amalfitana oltre 20 anni fa ma oggi mi è sembrata molto piu' bella e meglio organizzata alla ricezione di un turismo non di massa. Credo sia uno tra i piu' bei posti al mondo! (e lo dice uno che è stato in oltre 60 paesi) Anche le persone del luogo sono molto cordiali, compresi i giovani proprietari dell'appartamento (Luigi e Giovanni) ed il Sig. Domenico, vostro collaboratore. L'unico neo, riguarda il mal funzionamento dei trasporti pubblici che sono sempre in ritardo e con corse molto diradate. Considerate le difficoltà di trovare un parcheggio e la poca viabilità delle strade, si dovrebbe potenziare il trasporto by bus. Questo ovviamente non dipende da voi, ma credo sia un giusto suggerimento da dare ai politici locali se vogliono migliorare la qualità dei servizi.

Appartamento ben arredato in posizione molto panoramica,munito di una spaziosa terrazza dalla quale si può ammirare Positano da utilizzare come ottima cornice per cene all'aperto e per rilassarsi ammirando lo spettacolo della costiera amalfitana.

We were looking for somewhere quite but also near to bars and places to eat; then this is a great location. We wanted a economical getaway and this was ideal.
Put in the hills of Praiano, this apartment was great value for money. Very clean but basic.
This is a perfect family apartment for the price we paid with the best terrace we ever enjoyed in our life.
The 2 bedrooms were very organized and neat. One room with 1 double and the other room with 2 single beds and had air conditioning that saved our lives during the hot summer days! You can walk to the local shops and town in 10 mins and if you do not feel walking back the stairs, there is a shuttle bus to take you back in the upper area of Praiano where the apartment is situated. Getting back is only few euro by local taxi.
