General description of apartment *Praia*

The apartment "La Praia" is one of our nicest  rental properties on the Amalfi Coast. Located just east of the charming village of Praiano, it is situated just above crystal clear water and next to a little pebbled beach also called La Praia. This picturesque setting may make you feel like you are part of a movie set. With restaurants close by enticing you with their delicious aromas, bars offering cool drinks and famous the espresso, and the ubiquitous blue and white wooden fishing boats moored just off the beach, you will be absolutely enchanted with the atmosphere.

The excellent restaurants within a minute's walk on the ocean pathway are a major plus. And just a few minutes further along the pathway is the famous night club "Africana," built in a grotto above the ocean, where the rich and famous have danced and partied. In the summer period, there is free shuttle boat service to nearby Gavitella beach, where the friendly staff will help you sun, swim, eat and drink the day away. Nearby, the renowned town of Positano
with its picturesque streets, fine shops, and restaurants, is a must-visit during your stay. Also within short drives are the fabled Emerald Grotto and Conca Dei Marini.
La Praia is ideal for a family who loves the ocean and wants to be near it, or for a couple seeking a romantic getaway! The apartment consists of an entrance, a lounge/dining room with one sofa bed that can sleep two extra persons  for an additional Euro 80 each, per week, a master bedroom, a kitchenette that has recently been refurbished, and a new bathroom with bath tub and shower. The front rooms open onto a truly magnificent terrace complete with its own shade tree - just the place to savor morning coffee or late afternoon drinks while you enjoy the spectacular view.
Sunbathe on balcony, wake up to morning sun, go to sleep to the sound of waves!
The apartment has a reserved parking spot just off the road above it, which is another major bonus.
From the road, about 100 steps lead down to the apartment's front door with just an additional 25 steps down to the cove and water's edge. You can also drive down into the La Praia beach area, park your car for a fee, and walk a few meters along the ocean pathway and up the few steps to the front door. If you are not travelling by car, you can take advantage of the regular bus services run by the local bus company SITA, that goes to any of the villages along the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento to Salerno. In addition there is a local bus service that makes a circular route through Praiano and back and forth between Praiano and Positano until midnight. Location

The apartment is in the beach area of Praiano. The restaurants, bars and beach are within walking distance, walking only few minutes. Positano and Amalfi can be reached by bus or car in 15 minutes. the apartment feature a reserved parking lot.

Parking and accessibility

The apartment is accessible by a deep flight of steps (circa 150 steps from the parking) or from the beach area within 30 steps. It is located on the ground floor. Free parking is possible in our private garage on the street level, located at the top of the 150 steps.

Arriving in Praiano

By car, from the airport of Naples use the A3 Salerno Reggio Calabria to Castellammare di Stabia. At the exit, don't turn right, but keep on going straight towards Sorrento. On the way to Sorrento, once in Meta turn left to Positano and Amalfi. Praiano is about 5 kms after Positano. Our usual meeting point will be the Bar Del Sole, located in the centre of the village.

I was impressed with the location. It was spacious and perfect for us, nicely decorated, modern and clean. The kitchen was a bit too small but we manage to prepare some meals. The agent was delightful, friendly and very informative. The beach of La Praia is wonderful and has fine restaurants. We have eaten two times at the nearby Pirate restaurant and was delicious. The owner Rino suggested and served us the best food we had in Italy. I loved everything about my stay here. Definitely suggested.
