General description of apartment Coccolina Studio

Coccolina studio is a beautiful independent studio flat, recently refurbished to a very high standard, measuring approximately 35 metres squared. Located in the residential area of Praiano, midway up the stunning coast, with views of the horizon that will take your breath away, Coccolina is situated in the heart of the spectacular Amalfi coast. The air here is unpolluted, the town ever so tranquil & quiet, this really is the perfect setting for a romantic week or weekend away. Coccolina offers all the creature comforts that you would look for whilst away from home. A fully functional kitchen, matrimonial bed, dining table and fitted wardrobes and cupboards, bathroom with shower, washing machine and a television - although the last thing you'd want to do when here is stay in and watch the tv. Outdoor dining is always a must at Coccolina, with a fabulous large terrace facing the sea, especially on those wonderful and colourful sunset evenings. The terrace is equipped with sun beds, dining table with two chairs. Car parking is available in designated areas in the main road of the village and is approximately 500 meters from the building, as so too is the nearest supermarket offering excellent provisions and a free home delivery. We would recommend you forget the car , however, and walk down through the 'arterial' passages and steps of the village to the Marina di Praia, Praiano cove beach. It is a ten minute walk down and should you be daunted by the return, there is a bus service from just above the beach that will bring you back to the supermarket. This service will also take you to Positano, all timetables of this service and the SITA service are left in the Coccolina. All of you lovers of hiking, this is a wonderful area to roam, either follow your own heart or the 'Path of the Gods' a well documented trail. Praiano is smack in-between Positano and Amalfi, approximately 8km from either, and from these harbours hovercrafts and ferries leave for Capri, Ischia and Naples to name but the most popular. Sorrento can be reached by the national SITA service so too Paestum and Pompei, change to Circumvesuviana train from Sorrento or by car, either way should take approximately one hour from Praiano. Coccolina is positioned in a beautiful and tranquil location away from all the hustle and bustle and yet close enough for visiting the artisan shops, local fashion boutiques and dining out, there are wonderful romantic eateries in the neighbouring area and night clubs or just simply sightseeing this most renowned and unspoilt area. Whatever the reason for your visit staying at Coccolina will help to make it an unforgettable holiday.

Location

The apartment is in the higher part of Praiano, near a grocery store well furnished. The restaurants, bars and beach are within walking distance, in about 20 minutes. Positano and Amalfi can be reached by bus or car in 15 minutes.

Parking and accessibility

The apartment is accessible by a flight of 70 steps circa and located on the top floor. Parking is possible for free on Via Umberto at 300 metres far or, depending on the availability, at a close by private garage at Euro 12 per day.

Arriving in Praiano

By car, from the airport of Naples use the A3 Salerno Reggio Calabria to Castellammare di Stabia. At the exit, don't turn right, but keep on going straight towards Sorrento. On the way to Sorrento, once in Meta turn left to Positano and Amalfi. Praiano is about 5 kms after Positano. Our usual meeting point will be the Bar Del Sole, located in the centre of the village.
