The villa Calypso has an area of 130 square meters of luxury and comfort with terraces and garden right on the cliff of the coast with breathtaking views of the blue sea. A beautiful swimming pool of about 15 sq mt. with a fantastic view over the sea. The villa can be reached by funicular railway from the road; other possibilities are about 500 steps. The self catering villa is extremely elegant, sunny, decorated with ceramic tiles in blue and white. It has direct access to the private beach of the exclusive residence the villa is part of . The beach is equipped with sun beds and beach umbrella (included in the price) with the possibility of eating in the bar and restaurant of the beach. At the horizon on your right you can admire the island of Li Galli on your left instead the main beach of Positano and the coast with unspoilt little beaches. The villa consist in four beautiful bedrooms with, one bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, a living room with a huge glass window from where to enjoy the view on the sea and the peninsula. All the bedrooms have a beautiful sea view including the bathroom Jacuzzi tub; imagine yourself in its water enjoying the landscape. The villa is equipped with SAT-TV all rooms, air conditioning and/or heating in every space, mini-bar in the rooms, DVD, CD, cassettes, video recorder, hi-fi, terrace and garden. Terrace with table, chairs, sun-beds, and umbrella. Looking down, you will see the nearby sea, just slightly below you, framed by a rocky outcropping on which there grows a mixture of agave, cactus, and shrubbery. The sunset and the evening are highly fascinating moments. When evening falls, you will see the moon rise, enormous at first as it peers above the coastline, then becoming smaller and brighter as it climbs higher in the sky and reflects on the sea. By this time, the coast and the sea are full of twinkling lights. With the full moon the sight is incomparable and you can enjoy it from your discreetly-illuminated terrace while dining under the stars. The entrance is among a gracious garden among the scent of the Mediterranean vegetation and flowers, in the shade of lemon and mandarin trees where you will also have table and chairs to enjoy the open air. The Beach of the villa has private facilities and you can reach it by elevator; it is set in a magnificent bay. You can reach the beach also by boat or by many, many stairs. The beach is partly rocky, partly sandy and mostly pebble. On the beach there is a landing place, and you will be able to rent boats, and leave from here for your excursions. The villa is located in a residence of summer homes and situated in on of the most panoramic spot of Positano. The surrounding land of the villas is made in irregular soil terraces, full of Mediterranean greenery. The villas of the complex are immersed in an exclusive and private area, hidden among citrus olive and spontaneous vegetations. Mandatory extra costs to pay locally: Final cleaning of the villa Euro 150,00 Kitchen equipment, pots and pans, cutlery Euro 45,00. FREE OF CHARGE SERVICES: Beach reachable by lifts, equipped with umbrellas and deck chairs ( open from May 15th to October 15th).Linen replacement (only for 7 days stay) once a week, done on Wednesday. Air conditioning or heating in every space, color tv in the hall and in the rooms, minibar in the rooms, dvd, cd, cassettes, videorecorder, hi fi, terrace/garden. Position

Villa Calypso is situated in the upper part of Positano in the hamlet of Garitta at 2 kms from the centre with beautiful views over the colorful houses of the village and the beach. It is at about 10 minutes by bus from the main beach and the shopping area.

Parking and accessibility

Villa Calypso is reachable by a funicular and few steps. Paying parking is possible in private garages at 20 Euro a day, depending on car size and season the price might vary. Free parking is definitely limited so we suggest to make prior arrangements with us to book a car parking spot in the private area.

How to arrive to Positano

We suggest to reach this villa by taxi as the centre is very close. A good constant local transportation service (Flavio Gioia) is available  and takes you from the centre a vice versa. The Sita bus line stop that runs on all the Amalfi Coast drive, main road, is outside the villa. Boats to Capri and the other destinations are available from Positano harbor at 2 kms from the villa.

This great villa is situated in the upper part of the town of Positano, with possibility to have a car parking (on request). there is a good public transportation system to reach the major towns of the Amalfi Coast.

Private swimming pool of 15 sq.mt (about 150 sq feet), private access to sea by elevator to a private beach of the complex. Big private terrace with table, chairs, bed, chairs, umbrella.
One change of linen during the week are included in the rental price. Daily linen replacement on request. Chambermaid for daily cleaning of the room on request .
Car rental with or without driver, scooters, bicycles, boats and rubber boats with and without sailor. Excursions and transfer. Possibility to use the restaurant and the bar of the private beach or of the Hotel Le Agavi.
