General description of villa Terrazza

The apartment Terrazza is situated in a villa of 5 apartments only 3 kms from Positano town centre, along the panoramic road leading from Sorrento to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello in a stunning position. The name of this apartment derives from its beautiful veranda overlooking the island of Li Galli and the town of Positano, completely immersed within a vast pine wood stretching out over natural terraces overlooking the sea. The property has a fascinating footpath that lead you down to the sea, but the steps are circa 500, where you?ll find a private spot to dive into the blue water. The unit of the villa is equipped with all modern conveniences: TV with English channels, stereo, and washing-machine, and lies 15 from Sorrento, 12 from Amalfi, 18 from Ravello and 60 from Naples; the nearest beaches is at Positano at 3 kms and Praiano at 2 kms. Every day shopping can be done in Praiano centre at 1 km far. The apartment is 180 mq circa and can accommodate comfortably six persons whilst two extra persons can sleep in spare single beds at Euro 100 per person per week. The unit is composed by a large living-room with fireplace and TV, passage through the three bedrooms, kitchen living, two bathrooms. From the entrance door, access to private large terrace covered by bamboo sticks where you have the possibility to eat outside. Parking available in private lots for two cars.

Position

The Villa Terrazza is situated in the pretty village of Laurito of Positano with beautiful views of Positano and Capri. The villa is only 50 meters from the bus stop to Amalfi and Positano. Positano by car is 10 minutes and 30 minutes are needed to reach Amalfi.

Parking and accessibility

Parking is free of charge and available for 2 cars. There are no steps to the villa.

How to arrive to Positano

The best way to reach Positano (and apartment Terrazza) from Rome is the following: Use A1 (Autostrada) to Naples; once you are in the area of Caserta, DON'T use the A30 to Salerno Reggio Calabria as that highway takes you somewhere else and will take one extra hour circa. So, keep on going until the barriers of Naples and pay the toll. After the barriers, you are on a big highway that will leads you to the A3 to Salerno. Take this Autostrada (highway) A3 as you were going to Salerno/Vietri. Exit at Castellammare di Stabia. Just outside the exit you take the road in front of you, or on your left. If you mistake, on your left there is another road getting you towards Sorrento area, take it. Make sure you don't go into the town of Castellammare. So, you'll pass by this first town of Castellammare through a long straight road, then after that another tunnel. Immediately after, keep on going, through the second tunnel and towards Sorrento. Again, never follow Castellammare di Stabia town centre. After the area of Castellammare di Stabia you'll pass though another tunnel by the town of Vico Equense and then you'll arrive in Meta di Sorrento. Be careful at the signs in this town, as at the end of the town you'll hit the intersection to Positano Praiano Amalfi. If you miss it, don't panic, after 1 km or so there is another intersection towards Positano on your left. Follow the road and then, once you arrive in Positano, keep on going towards Amalfi, don't enter the town centre About 3 kms or so (2 miles) you'll arrive outside the town and you'll see on your right the hotel San Pietro and then, after circa 300 meters on the left the restaurant La Taverna del Leone where we'll meet.

Extra info

A car can be useful, because the villa is not as close to the town center, but there is a good public transport system by the company of SITA bus, and local public service between Positano and Praiano run by soc. Flavio Gioia.
