General description of villa Villa Le Cercole

Le Cercole is a typical Mediterranean construction which still preserves the best part of the original architectonic features, completely immersed in the green and placed at the entrance of the hamlet of Nocelle part of Positano  boroughs, suspended at 450 meters on the Crinali forming the frame of the built up centre of Positano famous throughout the world as The Pearl of the Amalfitana Coast and world-wide patrimony of the Unesco. The building, is characterised by a unique and enchanting panorama either due to the exclusive particularity of enjoyable scenery and for the vastness of the visible space absolutely indescribable. The particular position of the villa, allows to admire the beauty of the sea with the famous Faraglioni of Capri on the West, Punta Campanella and the island of Li Galli and the peak of the Mount Faito on the North and up to the main beach of Positano on the South in an unlimited triumph of glittering sea, of blue skies, of green and unspoiled mountains and the typical buildings of Positano, conferring to the whole a sensation of a wonderful and unforgettable dream lived in a paradise-like ambient. Villa Le Cercole Description Villa of 120 square meters, sleeps six in its 3 matrimonial bedrooms with possibility of sleep in 4 more people in the 2 double divan beds, with a terrace of about 100 square meters and a view of the sea and of the coast. It is equipped with air-conditioning/heating in most of the rooms. The terrace is equipped with dining ceramic table, chairs, deck chairs and sun umbrellas. Of the 5 rooms of the house, 4 have sea view (one of the bedroom with en-suite bathroom, has only a window). Two of the three double bedrooms (both with en-suite bathrooms) are very bright and overlook the sea: these 2 rooms have one double folder sofa bed in each. All ambiences are finely furnished and decorated. All together there are three bathrooms with shower plus a dining room with a kitchen. Price is based on 8 occupants that will be accomomdated 6 in the three matrimonial beds, 2 in a double sofa bed. 2 extra persons can sleep in another double divan bed at Euro 85 per person, per week. Please be aware that the distance to Positano centre is about 5 kms. Distance from the closest beach is about 7 kms.

Villa Le Cercole is situated in the upper part of Positano in the hamlet of Nocelle at 5 kms from the centre with beautiful views over the colorful houses of the village and the beach. It is at about 20 minutes by bus from the main beach and the shopping area.

Parking and accessibility

Le Cercole is reachable by a flight of 90 steps. Paying parking is possible in private garages at 10/15 Euro a day, depending on car size and season. Free parking is definitely limited so we suggest to make prior arrangements with us to book a car parking spot in the private area.

Arriving in Positano

We suggest to reach Villa Le Cercole with a car as the centre of the village is at 5 kms. Yet, a good constant local transportation service (Flavio Gioia) is available during the summer period every hour that takes you from the centre to Nocelle and vice versa. The Sita bus line that runs on all the Amalfi Coast drive, main road, is at 3kms from the Villa Le Cercole. Boats to Capri and the other destinations are available from Positano harbor at 5 kms from the villa.
In order to reach the villa use the A/3 and exit in Castellammare di Stabia. Follow signs to Sorrento and after the town of Meta, go left to Positano. Once in Positano, go left to Nocelle; drive 3 kms and get in the square of Nocelle. Meeting point is at the parking area.

Enjoyed our stay. A couple of our guests had trouble navigating the steps but got used to it. There is one item that is not under your control but note that the bus to Positano can be a problem. When a school bus is parked in the bus space at Nocelle, the bus does not come. Instead it turns around at an earlier stop. Two of our visitors almost missed their connection because they had to run from Nocelle to the next bus stop. I recommend you make visitors aware of this problem.
