Conca dei Marini was recorded as a Roman Colony. It is located between Amalfi on the East and Praiano and Positano on the West.

Today Conca dei Marini is acclaimed for the splendor of the Emerald Grotto, the Monastery of Santa Rosa and two of the most radiant churches on the coast: Sant'Antonio and San Pancrazio.

San Pancrazio church consists of three naves, three chapels, three apses and three entrances. Sant'Antonio shares this peculiarity of the three naves.

The monastery of Santa Rosa, one of the most impressive monuments on the Amalfi Coast, can be observed from the entire surrounding area. It is perched on a rock precipice which dominates the countryside. Inside the monastery is a splendid majolica domed "cupola" and a small bell tower where The Concert Society of Ravello sometimes holds summer concerts.

The monastic complex is an extraordinary spectacle occupying one of the loveliest terraces over the sea. From here you can admire one of the most wondrous, awe-inspiring panoramas in the world.

The Grotto dello Smeraldo is the most visited attraction on the Amalfi Coast. It is located between Positano and Amalfi. The Grotto was discovered by a sailor in 1932. On the seabed within the Grotto is a beautiful Nativity crèche. Small boats manned by local sailors are available for tours of this remarkable natural wonder. Visitors are fascinated by the stalagmites and stalactites which are often fused together to form limestone columns of up to 10 meters. The intense emerald green waters, caused by natural light infusion, break into the grotto creating a magic moment for visitors.
