Room Eva is located in Atrani, a charming ancient fishermen's village, at 400 meters from the center and the beaches of Amalfi. It is located in an ancient house of the historical center of the village, just at 100 meters from the characteristic little square at the heart of Atrani, with its shops, bars and restaurants. From the square, going under an arch, you will be able to reach the beach. Room Eva was renovated with love by its owners. It is in a quiet place, inset as it is among the alleys and stairways of the ancient burg. The place is comfortable as well, since with a short walk you will be able to reach the main road or the sea. Room Eva is on the second floor of the building and is composed by a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed that accomodate an extra person at the daily price of Euro 10, a bathroom with shower and a magnicicent terrace equipped with table and chairs. Here your sight will move from a wide view of the sea to the picturesque burg of Atrani, which is made up by a dense set of small colored buildings. The buildings cling to slopes of the cliff, that in this place has the shape of a natural amphitheater, open toward the sea. If you look down, you will enjoy the extraordinary "spontaneous" architecture of the village, made by a maze of domes, white terraces, narrow alleys and stairways. It is an important part of the charm of this coast. The terrace of Room Eva is a typical terrace of the Amalfi Coast. It is paved with ancient terracotta tiles, it has brickwork seats, decorated with fabulous hand-painted majolica tiles, pots with palm trees, flowers and, of course, a lemon tree. Since access to Atrani is prohibited to cars, you will be able to reach Room Eva by foot only, through a charming white alley, that stems from the main square, climbing 80 steps. Shops and restaurants are close by. You can walk to Amalfi, both along the main road or along a romantic pedestrian alley, to avoid the nuisance of cars. By foot, climbing an ancient stairway, you can also quickly reach Ravello, even more quickly than by car. And walking along this stairway you will be able to enjoy breathtaking views. During your stay, allow yourself the time to take these hikes. It is a great approach to the unique beauty of these places. Besides being able to walk to the closest beaches, from the docks in Amalfi you will also be able to board small boats that will take you, in ten minutes, to some of the most beautiful beaches of the coast, which can only be reached by boat. These small beaches are very romantic, the sea is beautiful, and you will also find beach facilities, such as bars and restaurants. From the docks in Amalfi you will also be able to board ferries and hydrofoils to Positano, Capri, Salerno, Sorrento and Naples, as well as mini-cruises for tourists. You must indeed take a tour of the coast from the sea. From Room Eva it is also easy and practical to reach the tourist spots of the Amalfi Coast by bus. Take Autostrada (highway) A3 as if you were going to Salerno/Vietri. Exit at Castellammare di Stabia. Drive down a long straight road, then after that, through a tunnel. At the exit of this first tunnel, go right to Gragnano-Agerola and follow the signs to Amalfi. After this turn, you will be at the beginning of the town of Gragnano: do not enter it, take a right turn towards Agerola. You will go through the towns of Pimonte, then Agerola, then Furore, Conca dei Marini, where there is a famous cloister. Here, pay attention to these instructions: after this cloister in Conca you will go through a tunnel, then after about 1 km, after some bends you will arrive at an intersection to Pogerola/Amalfi about 1 km before the main coast road. Keep on going towards the coastal road. Then turn right to Amalfi. In the centre of Amalfi, near the taxi stand, there is some space for parking the car for some minutes. That is where you will meet our colleague.
The Grotta dello Smeraldo, Amalfi Cathedral, the old paper mills and the Paper Museum. The breathtaking view from Ravello from Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo. The island of Capri. The ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum. The beautiful city of Naples. The Royal Palace of Caserta. The Greek temples of Paestum. The websites of the tourist attractions are available on our website.
We suggest to come in Amalfi without car. The parking is very difficult in the town of Amalfi and you can use public transportation to reach the major towns of the Amalfi coast. Follow our links on how to get to Amalfi by taxi, or public transportation.
