General description of apartment Caravella

Caravella is a joyful little apartment situated in a village 3 km from Amalfi called Lone.
Lone provides you with one of the most opulent views of the Amalfi Coast being located just above Amalfi. The panorama takes in the spectacular Monastery of Santa Rosa in Conca dei Marini which dominates from its cliff top vantage point, and the surrounding houses distinguished by their domed rooftops as typical of this region. Lone is also characterised by terrace upon terrace of lemon trees with the ocean as their backdrop. You can also admire the various beaches of Santa Croce and Duoglio as well as the beach at Conca dei Marini with its famous Villa Chandon. The beaches can be accessed by descending numerous steps from street level, or you can use a boat taxi service that leaves from the port of Amalfi and takes you to any of the beautiful beaches mentioned above. Or, if you prefer, a convenient option is to catch a bus just outside the apartment on the main street which runs every 40 minutes until midnight. This will take you to the main Beach in Amalfi. If you feel like exploring, you can walk from Lone area via a series of manageable stairways and paths which takes about 40 minutes, at a leisurely pace from Caravella to the town centre of Amalfi. These paths divide the village in half and pass near the Church of Santa Maria Bambina. The apartment Caravella is part of a condominium with a communal playground as well as extensive gardens equipped with tables and chairs and shaded by it's very own private pine forest. From here you can enjoy watching the sun set in the distance. Caravella is on the second floor below street level and consists of a living room with a single sofa bed which can accommodate an extra person for 40 euros for a weeks stay, and an equipped kitchen which is also fitted with a washing machine. There is a master bedroom and a bathroom with a shower. Caravella has a spacious terrace with a pergola which can be accessed from the lounge and the master bedroom. The terrace is equipped with cast iron table with a beautiful Vietri ceramic table top and chairs. You can enjoy breakfast here in the morning as you watch the first rays of the morning sun spread across the hills illuminating everything like jewels on display, whilst at night, in the moonlight you can witness the spectacle of the lights along the main roads and the flicker of lamp lights from the surrounding villages. This apartment offers you private parking for one car. There is a supermarket about 850 meters away. The nearest village is 1.5 km from the apartment. There is also a fan and a heater at your disposal. Final cleaning charge is 40 euros for a week's stay. Amenities include TV, iron, table and chairs on the terrace, washing machine, garden, car parking, fan and heater. For a large group, consider renting Caravella and Lone. A car can be useful in getting here as the apartment is not too close to the centre of the village, but there is a good public transportation system. Parking is easy at only 20 meters from the property. We recommend arriving at the apartment by public conveyance or taxi.

The Caravella apartment is situated in the Hamlet of Lone, 3 km from the centre of Amalfi. The location provides beautiful panoramic views and a good transportation system allowing you to reach the major towns of the Amalfi Coast.

Arriving in Amalfi

From the Naples airport take the Autostrada (highway) A3 as if you were going to Salerno/Vietri. Exit at Castellammare di Stabia. Follow the long, straight road, then go through a tunnel. At the exit of the first tunnel, go right to Gragnano-Agerola and follow the signs to Amalfi. After this turn you will be in the outskirts of the town of Gragnano: do not enter Gragnano, go right towards Agerola. You will go through the towns of Pimonte, Agerola, Furore and Conca dei Marini where there is a famous cloister. Here you must pay close attention to these driving instructions. After the Cloister in Conca dei Marini you will go through a tunnel, drive about 1 km past the cloister, after some bends you will arrive at the intersection to Pogerola/Amalfi about 1 km before the main coast road. Stop at this intersection, do not go to the main road. Here you will meet the representative who will direct you to the apartment.
