Iris is a pretty house in Castiglione, a small village situated near Ravello in the heart of the spectacular Amalfi Coast, only 400 meters from the sea where you will find a wonderful beach. It is a perfect little corner of heaven nestled between steep, sheer rocks spilling to the shimmering sea. The beach can be reached from the road via 200 steps. There you will find a bar and a restaurant. The entrance is free. This charming house is set in an area central to the SITA bus line which offers frequent service to all of the villages on the Amalfi Coast. You can walk 600 meters to the centre of Atrani, where you will find a beach accessible without steps. The grocery store is 300 meters from the house and the bus stop is 100 meters. The bus which connects Castiglione, Ravello and Amalfi runs very frequently (approximately every 40 minutes from morning until late evening). Amalfi is 1.5 km from the property and can be reached either by bus or on foot. Parking is inconvenient at best and sometimes impossible. We recommend using the reliable public bus line. Iris is located on the main road (SS163), on the top floor overlooking the silvery, shimmering sea, Castiglione, Ravello and the Cilentana Coast. The house has been recently renovated and consists of a living room with table and chairs and a sofa bed, a well equipped kitchen, a double bedroom, and bathroom with shower and washing machine. From the living room you can access the terrace which measures 20 square meters. Here you can unwind and bask in the golden sunshine. Later in the evening, enjoy a romantic dinner as the sea laps the shore. The views will delight you. The house has no heating system and is not, therefore, recommended during wintertime. The charming house is set in a central position: from here the Sita public bus company provides a frequent service all through the villages of the Amalfi Coast. You can also walk for 600 meters to reach the centre of Atrani, where you'll find a beach, reachable without using stairs. At 300 meters from the house there is a grocery store and at 100 meter there is the bus stop. The bus connecting Castiglione, Ravello and Amalfi are very frequently ( circa every 40 minutes from morning to evening). Amalfi is at 1.5 Kilometers away and you can reach it either by bus or just walking. Parking is difficult and therefore we'll advise you to use the comfortable frequent public bus line. The house is located on the main road SS163 on the second top floor overlooking the sea, Castiglione, Ravello and the Cilentana coast. The house "Iris" has been completed recently and consist of a living room with table, chairs and a sofa bed, well equipped kitchen, a matrimonial bedroom, bathroom with shower and washing machine. From the living room you have access to the terrace that measures approximately 20 square meters, where you can bask in the sun and have a romantic dinner enjoying the sound of the water and from where you can also enjoy the wonderful views. The house hasn't a heating system and therefore it is not advisable during winter times. Table, chairs and deck chairs for relax and good time.

Parking and accessibility

We would not suggest bringing a car to this property. Parking is very difficult. We will gladly arrange a transfer from the airport to the house.

Arriving in Amalfi

In order to get from Naples airport to Iris in Ravello, follow these instructions:Take Autostrada (highway) A3 as if you were going to Salerno/Vietri.Exit at Castellammare di Stabia. Drive down a long straight road, then after that, through a tunnel. At the exit of this first tunnel, go right to Gragnano-Agerola and follow the signs to Amalfi. After this turn, you ' ll be at the beginning of the town of Gragnano: do not enter it, take a right turn towards Agerola. You will go through the towns of Pimonte, then Agerola, then Furore, Conca dei Marini, where there is a famous cloister. Here, pay attention to these instructions: after this cloister in Conca you will go through a tunnel, then after about 1 km, after some bends you will arrive at an intersection to Pogerola/Amalfi about 1 km before the main coast road. Keep on going towards the coastal road.Then turn right to Amalfi. When you are in the centre of Amalfi, please follow the directions to Salerno. After Atrani, stop at the intersection in Castiglione, where is a mosaic "Ravello Citta' della Musica". That is where you will meet our colleague.
