General description of villa Villa Michelle

Michelle is a beautiful self catering Amalfi villa composed of three separated apartments that can be also rented together and accommodate a family up to 14 people; the building is situated just 3 km away from the centre of Amalfi, immersed in the lemon gardens and facing the blue expanse of the sea. About 40 steps divide the complex from the main road (SP 366 to Agerola). It takes about 30 minutes walking to reach the centre of Amalfi. There is a bus stop on the main road; the buses to the centre of Amalfi run often until late at night (during the summer period, last bus is at midnight). Some essentials shops (grocery store, a bar and some restaurants) are at walking distance (between 5 and 10 minutes), as well as the most beautiful beaches of the Amalfi Coast (S. Croce and Duoglio), accessible through a flight of steps, walking about 10 minutes, or by car or public transportation driving 5 minutes. We suggest to reach the complex by public transportation as if you will rent a car, parking in the area on the road is not an easy issue. The whole apartment is composed by 5 bedrooms: two of the rooms are situated on the upper part of the building, with an annexe full equipped kitchen, two baths and balcony where you can enjoy the beautiful view on the Amalfi coast; on the main floor we have two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a large terrace. From this floor some steps will lead you to the lower floor consisting of one bedroom, a large and well equipped kitchen a living-dining room; in this room there is a folder couch bed where two more persons can sleep. From the living room you can access onto a terrace-garden with table and chairs, where you can smell the lemon scent of the surrounding gardens and be amused by the lovely views of the coastline. Use of Internet access Euro 20 per week. Price based for 10 occupants: extra price for other guests is Euro 60 per person per week.

A car can be useful as the villa is not so close to the centre of the village, but there is a good public transportation system by the SITA bus company. The bus line is Amalfi - Pogerola. It is better to reach the apartment by public transportation or by taxi.

Arriving in Amalfi

In order to get from Naples airport to villa Michelle in Amalfi, follow these instructions: Take Autostrada (highway) A3 as if you were going to Salerno/Vietri. Exit at Castellammare di Stabia. Follow the long straight road, then after that go through a tunnel. At the exit of this first tunnel, go right to Gragnano-Agerola and follow the signs to Amalfi. After this turn, you'll get to the beginning of the town of Gragnano: don't enter it, go right towards Agerola. You will go through the towns of Pimonte, then Agerola, then Furore, Conca dei Marini, where there is a famous cloister. Here, pay attention to these instructions: after this cloister in Conca you'll go through a tunnel, then after about 1 km, after some bends you'll arrive at an intersection to Pogerola/Amalfi about 1 km before the main coast road. Stop at this intersection, do not go on to the main road. You will meet my colleague who will help you with the check in.
